Mihai Caramihai is an University Professor at University POLITEHNICA Bucharest, Romania. His work now focuses on IT application in life sciences, more specific in the biotechnology area (cell metabolic pathways modelling, bioprocess modelling, control and optimization, etc) Before coming to University POLITEHNICA, Prof Caramihai has been involved in the research area, at the Research Institute for Chemistry and Biochemistry, Bucharest. He is member of 4 Royal Societies and more than 25 professional associations wordwide. M. Caramihai earned a bachelor of science in informatics and a doctorate in IT from the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest.
