Code of Conduct
Expected standards of behavior for all participants
The Science and Information (SAI) Organization is dedicated to providing a safe, professional, and welcoming experience for everyone involved in our conferences — authors, reviewers, committee members, speakers, sponsors, staff, and attendees — whether participating in person or virtually. This Code of Conduct applies to all conference-related activities, including submission and review, sessions and workshops, social events, and all online communication channels associated with our conferences.
1. Expected Behavior
All participants are expected to: treat others with respect, courtesy, and professionalism; communicate constructively, especially in peer review and editorial feedback; respect differing viewpoints, backgrounds, and levels of experience; and follow the instructions of conference organizers and venue staff.
2. Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to: harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form; offensive comments related to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, or national origin; unwelcome sexual attention or advances; sustained disruption of talks, sessions, or online discussions; plagiarism, fabrication, or other breaches of research and academic integrity; and retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.
3. Peer Review Conduct
Reviewers are expected to provide honest, constructive, and timely feedback, to treat submitted manuscripts as confidential, to disclose any conflicts of interest, and to refrain from using knowledge gained through review for personal advantage.
4. Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it as soon as possible to the conference chairs or organizing committee via the relevant conference's Contact page. Reports will be treated confidentially and reviewed promptly.
5. Consequences
Participants asked to stop unacceptable behavior are expected to comply immediately. Organizers may take appropriate action in response to violations, including a warning, removal from a session or event, rejection or withdrawal of a submission, or exclusion from future conferences, at their discretion.
