Weisi graduated from the University of Cambridge with MEng, MA, PhD (2011) degrees. He is currently the joint-coordinator of the Cities research theme at Engineering and holds exchange/visiting positions at the CUSP, and the NYU. Weisi has published over 50 papers and is the winner of University of Sheffield academic award (2012). He has served on committees for flagship IEEE conferences, journals, and has been interviewed by BBC radio programs.
