Dr. Noha Mostafa is an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering and Management in The British University in Egypt. She got B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Zagazig University. In 2016, she was a visiting PhD student in Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan and she finished her PhD degree in Industrial Engineering and Management in 2017 from Egypt-Japan University, specialising in supply chain management. She also has a Diploma in Innovation and Change Management from Germany. Dr. Noha has broad expertise including operations management, lean manufacturing, sustainability, plant layout, design thinking, energy management, and Industry 4.0 applications. She has published about 50 papers in international journals and conferences and has been working in training and consultation for 15 years. She has participated in events in more than 20 countries and was an invited speaker in several international events through which she has built a strong global network in academia and industry. She was awarded ‘Outstanding faculty advisor award’ in 2018 and in 2020 from Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society, USA. And is currently serving as Global Ambassador of Sustainability, KSA, mentor in Egypt Scholars, Inc, and Head of IEOM advisory board in Egypt. Dr. Noha is active in social and community activities, giving special interest in women empowerment, health awareness, climate causes, and education reform. She has diverse hobbies including traveling, reading, movies, music, history, art, and hiking. She believes that it is necessary to have artistic, cultural, and political interests that complement the character of a human being, even if his work is scientific like her career of engineering.
