Koki Kyo was born in Shenyang, China, on September 27, 1957. He received his BE degree and ME degree in Management Engineering from Northeastern University, China, in 1982 and 1984, respectively, and his PhD degree in Statistical Science from the Graduate University for Advanced Studies, Japan, in 1993. He is a Professor of Statistics at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. His current research interests include Bayesian statistical modeling, estimation and identification of dynamic systems and Bayesian methods of economic analysis. Prof. Kyo is a member of the Japan Statistical Society and the Institute of Systems, Control, and Information Engineers, among others.
